SUMMARY
Expert Witness 1359 has had an active interest in the antique business since the 1950's, attending many auctions, buying and selling antiques and collectibles. He holds a degree in engineering from Broome Technical Community College and graduated from Reiches College of Auctioneering.
In 1974 Expert witness 1359 was admitted to the American Society of Appraisers and, in 1980, advanced to the level of Senior Member, certified to appraise Antiques, Decorative Arts and Residential Contents. In 1992 he joined the Appraisers Association of America as an Accredited Member and in 1995 he was elected to their National Board of Directors. In 2005 the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors bestowed a Fellowship on him. He has lectured, taught classes and conducted appraisal clinics for many years and appears frequently on television and radio talk shows and appeared weekly on a television show. He is accredited by the University of the State of New York to conduct adult education courses on Antiques and Collectibles. He is licensed and bonded auctioneer within New York State and by the State of Pennsylvania.
Expert witness 1359 has given expert court testimony in New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Michigan, New Jersey and Massachusetts. His appraisals are accepted by the Internal Revenue Service and many state courts. He is qualified to do the IRS form 8283 regarding non-cash charitable donations.
In 2005 the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors bestowed a Fellowship on him.
To date there are only 6 other personal property Fellows in the United States. To become a member one must demonstrate the highest standards of education, professional training and ethical conduct.
AUTOMOBILES
Involved in the valuation of cars from the 1950's. From 1959 through 1971 he was owner, promoter and manager of Tri-Cities Dragway, Inc., a NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) sanctioned track. Since 1964 to the present, he has promoted many car shows and has been actively engaged in the used car market including appraising classic and specialty vehicles.
REAL ESTATE
Licensed by the Department of State of the State of New York since 1969 and currently is the Principal Real Estate Broker of a private company. He has successfully completed the required education courses offered by NYS: Realtor Associate, Realtor and Real Estate Appraisal. Since 1979 he has been actively engaged in the Auctioneering of Real Property. In 1989 he passed a comprehensive written examination qualifying him as a Certified Real Estate Appraiser for the State of New York, certified to appraise real property for the Department of Transportation as well as other State agencies. He has been appraising real property since 1974.
SPORTS MEMORABILIA APPRAISER
1985
Began appraising major collections of baseball cards for insurance purposes and litigation.

Auctioned a sports memorabilia business containing over 300,000 sports cards.
1991
Began preparing 8283 appraisals of major sports items for non-cash charitable donation.
1995
Selected by the Racing Hall of Fame, Saratoga, NY to appraise Kentucky Derby Trophy and other significant donated items.
