Developed an in vitro tri-laminar human cell culture system to study cranial
suture fusion. Examined various growth factors to promote/inhibit cranial suture
fusion.

Projects included developing a recombinant vaccine for Hepatitis B, detection
assay for Hepatitis C, and developing a continuous cell line for the production
of HIV.

Pathology,
Recombinant DNA research on gene expression and deletion. Devised a technique
for diagnosis of B-cell lymphoma using immunoglobulin gene rearrangements. Work
involved gel electrophoresis, Southern blot hybridization, Ig probe construction,
immunofluorescent staining, and tissue culture.
